Sunday 28th November, 2pm – 4pm Admission Free
A special treat for lovers of all types of music, two passionate musicians perform live and free in the Ravenous Sunday afternoon series.
Amaia Gabantxo is an incredible singer of Basque Country origin, whose combination of charisma and vocal ability is all encompassing. Amaia who is now based in Norwich is a literary translator and musician whose work takes her all over the world (most recently New York and Istanbul) and draws influence on the traditional songs of the Basque Country together with Latin American music, Flamenco and renaissance and folk traditions.
Alan Taylor is also Norwich based and after studying classical and world music at City University in London, was a guitarist in several successful rock bands, touring throughout the UK and Europe before finding that his true love lay in classical and early guitar. Al has been studying with some of the UK’s finest classical players and Ravenous is very pleased that he is making a return visit with duo partner Amaia.
Make sure you arrive early to find yourself a table or alternatively you can phone the Ravenous Café on 01508 548406 to book. The performance is free and you can treat yourself to a warming bowl of delicious soup or lunch from our regular menu which includes panini’s, ravenous all day breakfasts and a scrumptious array of homemade cakes.
