IF MUSIC BE THE FOOD OF LOVE….Music from Latin America and Renaissance Europe at The Raveningham Centre

On Sunday 13th of February the Ravenous Café is delighted to welcome back the wonderful and inspiring musicians Alan Taylor – Guitar and Amaia Gabantxo – Voice, for a special Valentines performance. The duo will be performing heart-warming songs of lovers lost and found from over five centuries. Be prepared moving songs and raw passion from this delicate yet fiery duo.

Amaia Gabantxo is an incredible singer of Basque Country origin, whose combination of charisma and vocal ability is all encompassing. Alan Taylor has been studying with some of the UK’s finest classical players and Ravenous is very pleased that he is making a return visit with duo partner Amaia.

The performance takes place in the Ravenous Café, where a special Valentines menu will be available from 1pm, (alongside our regular menu which includes panini’s and a scrumptious array of homemade cakes).

The recitals commence at 12.30 p.m. and last for approximately 45 mins. Admission is FREE, though a donation will be welcome in aid of the Organ Fund. Free lunchtime recitals were presented at St. Nicholas Parish Church every Wednesday during the summer season 2009.  The recitals started at 12.30 p.m. and lasted approximately 45 mins.  A perfect way to spend lunch hour – light refreshments were available at the visitor centre.  Look out on www.stnicholasmusic.org for next year’s promgramme.
