We are looking to recruit volunteers to assist with local studies enquiries. Great Yarmouth Library is lucky enough to have a wealth of local information and is often the place people look to help them with their studies and general interest enquiries about the local area.
The volunteers would be instrumental in assisting library staff to deal with enquiries from the public about what information the library holds and help to access anything from our online directories, maps, microfilm, books and other resources.
We feel the kind of person who could be a real help to us would have the:
- Ability to ask questions and clarify details
- In-depth local knowledge
- Ability to use the internet, scanner, printer and microfilm
We would provide any relevant training which was felt to be necessary.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in please contact: Rachel Houghton tel 01493 855441 or email mailto://rachel.houghton@norfolk.gov.uk
